How I use Mailchimp in my business (and it’s not for email marketing). If you work with groups and exchange information with them prior to your events, it can be an extremely useful, here’s why…

I’ve used Mailchimp for years no, it is one of the major players in the email marketing world and for good reason. However, I use it in my adventure travel company for a very different reason too. Once I’ve gathered participant’s email addresses, I’ll send out any pre-event information via Mailchimp in event-specific groups.

I do this for a number of reasons:

• I can send information to the whole group
• I can upload pdf’s and other files to my website and simply add a link to the email
• I can see who has opened the emails in real time
• I can see which links were clicked and who clicked them
• Resending the email to non-openers is simple
• I can send event-specific remarketing emails once the event has taken place
